Q: Sometimes when I go into clubs the girls look like they hate being there and are having a bad time. Other times, they seem really into it, smiling and really high energy. It made me wonder; do most strippers like their jobs? Why would someone want to be a stripper in the first place?
---Curious in PDX
A: The truth is, everyone has a job they hate at one time or another. Just ask your local porn store video booth janitor! Some strippers come into the industry out of a sense of urgency to make quick easy money, while others are trying to pay off debts or put themselves through school. Not everyone truly loves being a dancer. However, others are exhibitionists at heart; they love the attention that exposing themselves and putting on a show draws. It can be a big turn-on. Stripping for a living can be a rad job. Strippers have flexible schedules, can take working vacations to other states or even countries (Guam anyone?), are paid in cold hard cash...and then there are the perks of free drinks and constant compliments, attention, and sometimes even gifts. As for me, I have a fetish for watching women apply makeup in the dressing room, but that's another story... |
